Bede Academy was one of England's first all-through academies when it opened in 2009. It educates 1,900 students aged from 3-18 across two sites in Blyth, Northumberland.
Bede South is home to the nursery and reception to Year 6, while Bede North goes from Year 7 through to Year 13. The sixth form opened in 2012 in a dedicated building on the North site. The academy has an engineering and enterprise specialism and, like the other schools in the Emmanuel Schools Foundation, a non-denominational Christian ethos that welcomes staff and students of all faiths and none.
