THE wonder of Christmas is brought to a school chapel in spectacular fashion.
THE wonder of Christmas was brought to a school chapel in spectacular fashion as children recounted the greatest story ever told.
A Miracle in Town brought the traditional nativity to life thanks to the skills and talents of pupils at Barnard Castle Preparatory School.
A packed chapel reverberated to the sound of Yuletide songs and wonderful acting before an audience of family and friends.
Written by Niki Davies and adapted by teacher Lizzie Hairsine, the performance was staged with the help of pre-prep staff and Derek Miller and his maintenance team. Musical arrangement was by director of Prep School Music Dr Robin Harrison.
A collection was held in aid of a number of children’s charities.
Headmistress Laura Turner said: “We are blessed with the most gorgeous chapel which provides a perfect backdrop for the school nativity.
“The children were incredible and staged an absolutely perfect performance. There really is nothing better to get us all in the festive spirit.”
